NTPC’s Subsidiary Secures 500 MW Renewable Energy Project from REMCL
NTPC REL is a complete subsidiary of NGEL which is a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, got Letter of Acceptance for 500 MW RE-RTC power from REMCL.

The government-owned NTPC stated its subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd has received a 500 MW renewable energy round-the-clock project.
The project has been bagged by REMCL, which is a joint venture company of the Ministry of Railways and RITES Ltd.
NTPC REL is a complete subsidiary of NGEL which is a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, got Letter of Acceptance for 500 MW RE-RTC power from REMCL.
The capacity has been received in a competitive tendering process for an overall 900 MW RE-RTC on offer expanding a power purchase agreement (PPA) will be inked with Indian Railways for 25 years.
Through an amalgamation of solar and wind power, the project would deliver round-the-clock green energy to REMCL.
NTPC is India’s major energy consolidate established in 1975 to accelerate power development in India.
The overall installed capacity of the company is 71,644 MW (including JVs) own stations comprise 23 coal based, 7 gas based, 1 Hydro 1 Wind 18 Solar and 1 Small hydro plant. The entity has 9 coal based, 4 gas based, 8 hydro based and 5 renewable energy projects.
REMC Limited was established on 16th August, 2013 as a joint venture company of Ministry of Railways Limited with equity participation in the proportion of Indian Railways(49%) and RITES Limited (51%).
The project has been bagged by REMCL, which is a joint venture company of the Ministry of Railways and RITES Ltd.
