NTPC, acting on behalf of NTPC-SAIL Power Company (NSPCL), a joint venture between NTPC and SAIL, has opened bidding for the development of a 15 MW floating solar power project at Maroda reservoir-1 in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
Bidders, limited to 'Class-I local suppliers' and 'Class-II local suppliers,' have until February 2, 2024, to submit their proposals, with bid openings scheduled for the same day.
NSPCL intends to finance the project through a combination of equity funds and loans. Bidders are required to submit a bidding document fee of INR 22,500 and an earnest money deposit of INR 10 million.
The project involves the design of a grid-interactive solar power system, covering civil, electrical, and mechanical auxiliary systems. Detailed documentation, including foundations, single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and design calculations, is required.
The scope of work includes the creation of a floating solar project, incorporating the power evacuation system, with responsibilities extending to the supply and installation of modules within the designated area.
Additionally, a three-year operation and maintenance period for the solar project, along with an annual maintenance contract for critical equipment, is part of the project.
Participation in this tender is restricted to bidders from countries sharing a land border with India, provided they are registered with the competent authority.
Eligible bidders must have experience in designing, supplying, and overseeing the erection and commissioning of solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 12 MW or more. Notably, one of these projects must have a capacity of 10 MW or higher and should have been operational for a minimum of six months before the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.
