NTPC REL Invites Bids for BoS Package of 1400 MW Solar PV Projects in Uttar Pradesh

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL) has issued a tender for the balance of system package for 1400 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects in Uttar Pradesh, spanning solar parks in Lalitpur (600 MW) and Chitrakoot (800 MW). Bid submission closes on January 30, 2025.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd. has floated a tender for the balance of system package for the development of 1400 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects in Uttar Pradesh.

Two projects of 300 MW each – totalling 600 MW will be located at Lalitpur solar parks of TUSCO and two projects of 400 MW each – totalling 800 MW will be located at Chitrakoot solar parks of TUSCO.

The bid document can be downloaded till January 13, 2025.

The last date for submission of bids is January 30, 2025 till 3:00 PM. Techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 30, 2025 at 3:30 PM.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading storage, installation, testing and commissioning of solar photovoltaic plant excluding the supply of solar PV modules. PV Modules will be supplied by NTPC REL as a free issue item.

It will also include the design and construction of the foundation and erection of fixed tilt module mounting structure (MMS) for SPV panels at a DC:AC ratio of 1.45, including fixing of PV modules and PV modules interconnection.

The bidder also needs to undertake all associated electrical and civil works required for interfacing with the grid (i.e., transformers, panels, protection system, cables, metering at 33kV level, facilitation for grid compliance study as per regulation etc.), evacuation of power to 33kV switchgear of substation provided by owner through 33kV cable and placement of SCADA, PPC panel and associated equipment.

The scope of work includes the design, supply, and installation of a module cleaning system (robotic dry-cleaning method) including the supply and installation of all accessories. “Robotic dry-cleaning system would be acceptable where in 25 years’ design life need to be certified by the bidder for C3 category corrosion environment,” specified the tender.

The bidder needs to install a SCADA system for remote monitoring and control of inverters with all hardware and software and a complete set of weather monitoring station including cloud cover as per specification SCADA, and associated equipment.

The scope further includes the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of dynamic reactive power compensation equipment (20 percent) and all equipment for power quality control like Harmonic filters, flicker compensators etc. to comply with the grid connectivity requirements.

The tender mandates compliance with the “Report of the Working Group in respect of Data Submission Procedure and Verification of Compliance to CEA Regulations on Technical Standards for Connectivity to the Grid by RE Generators July 2022”. Grid Compliance study will be done by the owner as per the inputs from the bidder.
