NTPC REL Invites Bids for 300 MW ISTS-Connected Ground Mounted Solar PV Projects in Rajasthan
NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, has issued a tender for a 300 MW EPC package with land for the development of ISTS-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects near NTPC Anta Substation in Rajasthan. Bid submission ends on December 5, 2024.

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., has floated a tender for a 300 MW EPC package with land for the development of ISTS-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects near NTPC Anta Substation in Rajasthan.
The scope of work includes the arrangement of land for the solar project and design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning and operation and maintenance of grid-connected Solar PV project located near NTPC Anta including power evacuation system from solar project to NTPC Anta substation and development of terminal Bay at NTPC Anta Substation.
The pre-bid conference will be held on November 25, 2024. Bid submission ends at 3:00 PM, on December 5, 2024. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on December 5, 2024, at 3:30 PM.
Bidders need to pay INR 22,500 as the cost of bidding documents. Further, all bids must be accompanied by Bid Security for an amount of INR 20 crore.
“The scope of work includes Identification, acquisition, and complete transfer of ownership/lease of encumbrance-free land in favour of NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd; extension of 220 KV Bus and supply, erection, commissioning, of new 220 KV Bay at NTPC Anta 220 KV Switchyard and Development of dedicated transmission line including ROW from solar plant to NTPC Anta substation,” noted the tender document.
It also involves undertaking all EPC works required for the development of the Solar PV Project with open category type PV modules along with a power evacuation system up to NTPC Anta 220 KV Switchyard and telemetry up to ISTS Pooling substation through NTPC Anta substation.
The successful bidder would also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the complete Solar PV plant including the Switchyard and power evacuation system till the NTPC Anta substation (including the developed bay at the NTPC Anta substation) along with consumables and spare parts for a period of three years from the date of commissioning.
The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/supervised commissioning of solar photovoltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity. The reference plant of 10 MWp or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.
Alternatively, the bidder should be a developer of solar photovoltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 40 MWp or higher, out of which at least one plant should have been of 10 MWp or higher capacity. The reference plant of 10 MWp or higher capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.
Alternatively, the bidder should have executed in the last 10 years an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining including coal handling plant and or any other process industry, of a value of INR 240 crore or more, in a single project or single work and the same should be in successful operation for at least one six months (for projects in the RE sector – solar, wind) or one year (for projects other than RE Sector) prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
Additionally, the bidder should have executed at least one electrical sub-station of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 33kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer, either as a developer or as an EPC contractor which should be in successful operation for at least one six months (for projects in the RE sector – solar, wind) or one year (for projects other than RE Sector) prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.
As for financial eligibility, the average annual turnover of the bidder should not be less than INR 240 crore, during the preceding three financial years. The net worth of the bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100 percent of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.
