NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has released a tender inviting bids for the Balance of System package of an Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected wind energy project with a nominal capacity of 1080 MW in Karnataka.
The scope of work includes detailed design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and providing guaranteed parameters for the installation of the wind farm. This also involves the acquisition of land for the project's establishment.
The offered wind project should be compatible for the installation of wind turbine generators (WTGs) ranging from 2.7 MW to higher sizes, with the WTG machines being listed in the Renewable Energy and Ancillary Services (REAS) Large Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) Machine Manufacturers (RLMM).
The project also includes comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of three years. The bid submission deadline for both the techno-commercial and price bids is December 4, 2023, with the techno-commercial bid opening on the same day.
To qualify technically, bidders must have executed wind projects with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or higher, including at least one project of 10 MW or higher. Alternatively, bidders can be developers of grid-connected wind power plants with a cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW or higher, including at least one plant of 10 MW or higher at a single location.
The reference plant should have been operational for at least six months before the opening of the techno-commercial bid.
