NTPC Power Generation Surges 11.6% during Apr-Dec 2022
State-owned power major NTPC’s power generation has reported a growth of 11.6 per cent to 295.4 billion units (BU) during the period between April to December 2022, as compared to the same period last year.

State-owned power major NTPC’s power generation has reported a growth of 11.6 per cent to 295.4 billion units (BU) during the period between April to December 2022, as compared to the same period last year.
On a standalone basis, the power generation of the company grew by 16.1 per cent generated to 254.6 billion units during the period under review, against the previous year.
Besides, its coal plants registered a plant load factor (PLF) of 73.7 per cent for a nine-months period in FY23, as compared to 68.5 per cent in FY22 for the same period.
On the performance, the company said in a statement that “the stellar performance of NTPC is a testimony to the expertise of NTPC engineers, Operation & Maintenance practices, and NTPC systems.”
Also, the company has portrayed phenomenal growth in captive coal production by achieving 14.6 MMT of production, registering a growth of 51 per cent vis-à-vis the previous year for the same period.
Meanwhile, the group has an installed capacity of 70,824 MW, and recently, the company has crossed 3 GW of renewable capacity.
