NTPC Launches 3,022 Internships Under PM Internship Scheme

NTPC Ltd., India's  energy company, has announced 3,022 paid internship opportunities as part of the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme (PMIS). These positions are available across 43 districts in 21 states, offering diverse roles in power plant operations, construction, data entry, finance, HR, amongst others.

Interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various departments, including operations and maintenance of power plants, construction projects, data entry operations, finance and accounting, and human resources. This initiative aims to provide young professionals with real-world industry exposure in India's growing energy sector.

To qualify for the internship, applicants must be between 21 and 24 years old as of the application deadline and should not be enrolled in a full-time academic program or employed elsewhere. Selected interns will receive a monthly stipend of INR 5,000, along with a one-time joining grant of INR 6,000. In addition to financial support, NTPC is offering benefits such as safety gear, group personal insurance, and meals.

The Prime Minister's Internship Scheme, launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, aims to provide one crore (10 million) internships over five years in India's top 500 companies. The scheme offers 12-month internships to young graduates, equipping them with industry-relevant skills and improving their employability.
