NTPC Invites Bids for Solar Tree Installation at Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project

NTPC Ltd. has issued a tender for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar trees at the Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project in Salakati, Assam.

This initiative, part of NTPC’s Energy Conservation Budget, aims to boost renewable energy integration within the facility. The tender will be conducted through a Domestic Competitive Bidding (DCB) process in a single-stage, single-envelope format.

Classified as a works contract, the project is set to be completed within 12 months (365 days) from the date of award, with the bid opening to take place at NTPC’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh.

The interested bidders must submit their proposals by December 30, 2024, no later than 5:00 PM. The bids will be opened the following day, December 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

NTPC has specified that no tender fee or Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is required for this project. Bidding documents, including the Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) and the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), are accessible for download via the NTPC eProcurement Portal.

Further, the eligibility for this tender is restricted to Class-I local suppliers, ensuring alignment with public procurement norms under the 'Make in India' initiative. MSME benefits and reverse auctions will not apply, and bidders from countries sharing a land border with India must secure valid registration from the competent authority to participate. Bidders are also required to certify compliance with NTPC’s safety regulations, fraud prevention policy, and procurement restrictions concerning neighbouring countries.
