NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. (NVVN), a fully-owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., invites online bids for the development of a 4,737 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power project across various sites under the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
The tender, open through domestic competitive bidding, will be conducted on the Government e-Procurement platform, GePNIC, where interested parties can access and submit bids online. The critical dates for this process include a pre-bid meeting scheduled for November 5, 2024. The deadline for downloading tender documents and bid submission is November 12, 2024, with the bid opening planned for November 13.
The project follows a Single Stage, Two Envelope System, which requires separate Techno-Commercial and Price Bids. The scope of work includes installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on designated rooftops across BBMB locations, as outlined in the project’s technical annexure. It mandates the provision of permanent metal staircases or ladders, painted with primer and weather-resistant enamel, for rooftop access where needed.
Additionally, the bidder is responsible for a preliminary site assessment covering critical areas such as roof suitability, availability of water and electricity, security provisions, and determining the optimal capacity for the Solar PV systems.
The project may be financed through external or domestic commercial borrowings or BBMB’s own sources, with BBMB awarding the contract and directly handling payments to the chosen contractor. Bidders are required to secure their bids with a mandatory Bid Security of INR 20 lakh (INR 20,00,000), payable offline to NVVN’s New Delhi office. This security is essential for bid eligibility, ensuring compliance with India’s procurement policies, including anti-fraud and integrity clauses.
The 4,737 kW rooftop solar power project supports NVVN’s renewable energy expansion efforts in BBMB locations. The interested parties can review the full bid requirements on the NTPC eProcurement Portal.
