NTPC Green Energy Signs JV Agreement with CSPGCL for 2 GW RE Projects in Chhattisgarh
NTPC Green Energy and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company (CSPGCL) has signed a joint venture agreement during the Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit held at Raipur. The proposed JV intends to develop 2 GW renewable energy projects in Chhattisgarh.

NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has announced that the company has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd. (CSPGCL) during the Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit held at Raipur.
The shareholding pattern of the proposed JVC will be 74 percent by NGEL and 26 percent by CSPGCL.
The objective of the proposed JVC will be to develop, operate and maintain Renewable Energy Park including UMREPP and project(s) in Chhattisgarh or any other identified locations comprising of solar, wind, hybrid up to 2 GW capacities and identification of reservoirs for development of floating solar projects.
The JVC will supply renewable power generated by it to CSPGCL/DISCOMs of Chhattisgarh/Other DISCOMS, C&I Customers, etc. anywhere in India.
During the event, NTPC committed INR 15,530 crore for the Lara 1600 MW project in Raigarh and INR 9,790 crore for the Sipat 800 MW plant in Bilaspur.
NTPC has also planned to set up a 4,200 MW nuclear power project at an investment of INR 80,000 crore, marking the beginning of nuclear power generation in the state.
Further, Jindal Power and NTPC Green together will produce 2,500 MW of solar power by investing INR 10,000 crore. This includes 500 MW solar plants in Doleshra and 2,000 MW in Raigarh.
