NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL), a fully-owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has taken a significant step in renewable energy development by signing a Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd. (MAHAPREIT).
The JVA was signed in Mumbai by Rajiv Gupta, CEO of NGEL, and Bipin Shrimali, Managing Director of MAHAPREIT. This partnership aims to develop an impressive capacity of 10 GW of Renewable Energy Parks and Projects, primarily in Maharashtra, although projects may extend to other states across India.
This collaboration marks a strategic move to bolster India’s renewable energy landscape, aligning with the country's ambitious targets for sustainable energy.
