NTPC Green Energy Invites Bids for Evacuation of 755 MW Solar Power from GVREL Solar Park in Jharkhand

NTPC Green Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., has issued a tender for the power evacuation Package-II from the under development 755 MW GVREL solar park at Tilaiya and Panchet Reservoir in Jharkhand. Bid submission ends on December 5, 2024.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., has floated a tender for power evacuation Package-II from under development 755 MW GVREL solar park at Tilaiya and Panchet Reservoir in Jharkhand.

Green Valley Renewable Energy Ltd. (GVREL) is a joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Ltd. and Damodar Valley Corporation.

The pre-bid conference will be held on November 26, 2024. The last date for submission of bids is December 5, 2024 till 2:30 PM. Techno-commercial bids will be opened at 3:30 PM on December 5, 2024.

Bidders need to pay INR 22,500 as cost of bidding documents. All bids must be accompanied by bid security for an amount of INR 5 crore.
'Class-I local suppliers’ only are eligible to participate in this tender.

Route-I: The bidder should have designed, manufactured, erected/supervised erection, tested/supervised testing and commissioned/supervised commissioning of one Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) equipment installation having at least six bays of 220 kV or above voltage class with short circuit current of not less than 40 kA for 1 second in last 10 years, which should have been in successful operation for minimum 2 years.

Route-II: The bidder should have established manufacturing facilities for GIS equipment in India based on technological support of an associate (who meets the requirement stated in Route-I) and bidder should have designed, manufactured, and supplied one Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) equipment installation having at least six bays of 220 kV or above voltage class. The associate will be fully responsible for the performance of the GIS portion of the contract.

Route-III: The bidder should have designed, constructed/erected, tested and commissioned one Air Insulated switchyard/GIS Substation of 220 kV or above voltage class having at least six bays in last 10 years which should have been in successful operation for a minimum period of 2 years.

Additionally, the bidder need to associate with a GIS manufacturer for sourcing of GIS equipments who meets the requirement indicated at Route-I and Route-II above. The associate will also be fully responsible for the performance of the GIS portion of the contract.

As for financial eligibility, the average annual turnover of the bidder, should not be less than INR 143 crore or in equivalent foreign currency, during the preceding three financial years as on date of techno-commercial bid opening. The net worth of the bidder as on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100 percent of bidder’s paid-up share capital.
