NTPC Commences Work to Establish Hydrogen Hub in Andhra Pradesh
The plant will facilitate production facilities for equipment, production and export of green hydrogen along with green ammonia.

Power major NTPC has commenced the work for a hydrogen hub in Andhra Pradesh to establish manufacturing amenities for a hydrogen hub in Andhra Pradesh.
The plant will facilitate production facilities for equipment, production and export of green hydrogen along with green ammonia.
The state-owned company has come in a non-binding MoU that has inked with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the progress of a hydrogen hub near Vishakhapatnam.
NTPC is setting foot into hydrogen and energy storage solutions in a massive manner.
Currently, work for the hydrogen hub has been introduced in Andhra Pradesh.
Additionally, a storage tender for 9000 MWh has been opened.
NTPC has an operational renewable energy capacity of 3.2 GW and the overall capacity under execution has surpassed 20GW with various agreements arranged.
Earlier, NREL signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to build green hydrogen projects in army amenities.
NTPC is also planning to approach towards initial public offering for its renewable energy subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) to procure funds and also to lay out some kind of strategy sale initiative.
A business transfer agreement is used to transfer 15 RE assets, and a share purchase agreement is used to transfer 100% of the equity interest in NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (REL), an entirely owned subsidiary of NTPC.
