NTPC Awards Contract to Hild Electric for Deploying 600 MW of Alkaline Electrolysers
The alkaline electrolysers supplied by Hild Electric are anticipated to support NTPC’s ambition of reaching green hydrogen production of 150 ktpa by 2032.

Electrolyser manufacturer Hild Electric has signed an agreement with NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. to supply and deploy 600 MW of alkaline electrolysers. The company is all set to deploy the electrolysers on a big scale for green hydrogen production across various industrial applications such as ammonia, transportation, and power.
Apparently, the Chennai-based firm would deploy stacks combined with purifiers and separators to deliver a pioneering and energy-efficient solution which can integrate with renewable energy sources to generate green hydrogen.
India's leading integrated power producer NTPC Group, which is the parent company of NTPC Renewable Energy, recently made headlines as its installed electricity generation capacity crossed 73 GW.
With a diverse portfolio of thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants, the company is committed to embracing clean energy technologies for a greener future. By 2032, it expects to achieve 60,000 MW of renewable energy capacity.
