NLC Looking for QCA Services for 1.4 GW of Solar and Wind Plants

The QCA will perpetuate the transmission of plant-level data and other needed data to the state load dispatch center (SLDC), apart from facilitating other services.

NLC India Ltd (earlier known as Neyveli Lignite Corp.) is approaching a qualified coordinating agency (QCA) for its 1.4 GW of solar and wind power plants in diverse places in Tamil Nadu.

The QCA will perpetuate the transmission of plant-level data and other needed data to the state load dispatch center (SLDC), apart from facilitating other services.

The prospective contractor will facilitate forecasting, scheduling, and deviation settlement mechanism services as per the Tamil Nadu electricity regulatory commission (TNERC) Regulations 2019.

The contract tenure is of 24 months.

The capacity under QCA’s scope of work will contain 140 MW of solar power plants at Neyveli, 550 MW of solar at Tirunelveli, 51 MW of wind, and 659 MW of solar at Aruppukottai.

The QCA will maintain the transmission of plant-level data and other required data to the SLDC.

The report will submit a day-ahead schedule according to TNERC Regulations every day. It shall also submit intra-day and a week-ahead schedules.

NLC was established on 14th November 1956.

NLCIL is a Navratna Government of India Enterprise, under the authoritative control of the Ministry of Coal.

The company has also entered into the renewable energy sector.

Currently, the firm is working 1370 MW of Solar Power Plants in diverse districts of Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and a 51 MW Wind Power Plant in the Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu.
