SJVN’s auction for developing 600 MW ISTS-connected wind power projects has attracted an L1 tariff of INR 3.74/kWh. The projects are to be developed on a build, own and operate (BOO) basis.
A total of 312 MW has been awarded to NLC India and Adyant Enersol.
NLC India has secured a capacity of 200 MW at a tariff of INR 3.74/kWh. Adyant Enersol won 112 MW at a tariff of INR 3.81/kWh.
Now, SJVN will sign a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the winners, and the projects must be commissioned within 24 months of PPA signing.
The tender for this was issued in April 2024.
The selected developers are responsible for setting up the transmission network up to the interconnection point and obtaining all necessary clearances, permits, and land arrangements. Eligible wind projects included those under construction, yet to be commissioned, or operating on a short-term merchant basis.
Only commercially established wind turbine models listed in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Revised List of Models and Manufacturers can be used. The projects must maintain a minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 22 percent, with an option for developers to revise the CUF once within three years.
