NHPC Achieves Record Half-Yearly Profit of INR 2,500 Crores in 2023

NHPC's consolidated PAT for the current half-year has reached INR 2,583 Crores, compared to the Consolidated PAT of INR 2,575 Crores for the corresponding previous half-year.

NHPC has reported a remarkable financial performance for the half-year ending on September 30, 2023. The company has achieved its highest-ever Standalone Profit after Tax (PAT) of INR 2,500 crores during this period, surpassing the corresponding previous half-year's Standalone PAT of INR 2,483 crores.

In addition to the impressive standalone figures, NHPC's consolidated PAT for the current half-year has reached INR 2,583 Crores, compared to the Consolidated PAT of INR 2,575 Crores for the corresponding previous half-year.

These results were officially approved by the NHPC Board during their meeting on November 6. NHPC's performance underscores its position as a significant player in the Indian energy sector.

NHPC is known for its substantial contribution to the country's power generation capacity. The company boasts a total installed capacity of 7,097.2 MW in renewable power, which includes wind and solar energy. This capacity is distributed across 25 power stations, with 1,520 MW coming from its subsidiaries.

The achievement of record profits is a testament to NHPC's commitment to delivering clean and sustainable energy solutions to India's growing power needs. This financial success positions NHPC as a key player in the nation's energy landscape, contributing to its energy security and sustainability.
