Navitas Solar to Set Up New 1.5 GW Solar Module Plant, to Expand Capacity to 10 GW by 2025
Navitas Solar has announced setting up a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with an initial capacity of 1.5 GW which it plans to expand to 10 GW by 2025, during the REI Expo 2024.

Solar module manufacturer Navitas Solar plans to set up a new manufacturing facility with an initial capacity of 1.5 GW per annum, the company announced during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2024.
The company further has plans to expand this capacity to 10 GW per annum by 2025. This expansion is a testament to the company’s strategic vision and its dedication to scaling up operations to support the global transition to renewable energy.
The new factory will be situated on a vast 60-acre campus, featuring four lakh square feet of construction space and an additional six lakh square feet in construction. This facility is designed to be a hub of innovation and efficiency, equipped with the latest technologies to enhance production processes.
Commenting on the development, Vineet Mittal, Director of Finance and Strategy at Navitas Solar and Co-Founder and Director at Navitas Green Solutions, shared, “Our new facility marks a pivotal moment in Navitas Solar's journey. The establishment of this new factory is expected to have a significant positive impact on both the economy and the environment.”
He further added that the increased production capacity will not only create numerous job opportunities but also contribute to the local economy. “We're committed to driving innovation and supporting the renewable energy transition, both in India and worldwide,” he said.
In the next phase of development, Navitas Solar plans to add an additional 6 lakh square feet to the facility. This expansion will further boost the company’s production capabilities, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the solar module manufacturing industry.
With its modern manufacturing technologies that optimise production processes, the new facility will be a centre of technological innovation and efficiency. The company shared, “A wide selection of superior solar goods is available from Navitas Solar, including N-type TOPCon Bifacial Modules, Mono PERC Modules, and Polycrystalline Modules. These products are designed to meet the energy needs of both large-scale and domestic customers with exceptional durability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.”
