Namibia Signs Agreement with Hyphen Hydrogen Energy Worth USD 10 Billion to Develop Green Hydrogen Project

The major Feasibility and Implementation Agreement (FIA) governs the process under which Namibia's first green hydrogen project will be realised, as an introduction to the implementation of GRN's greater green hydrogen strategy.

Government of the Republic of Namibia approves entry into a USD 10 billion agreement to develop Sub-Saharan Africa's Largest Green Hydrogen Project with Hyphen Hydrogen Energy.     

The Cabinet Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN) has accessed into an agreement with Hyphen Hydrogen Energy (Hyphen) to be in control of the progression, implementation and operation of sub-Saharan Africa's largest, and its only fully vertically amalgamated, green hydrogen project. 

The major Feasibility and Implementation Agreement (FIA) governs the process under which Namibia's first green hydrogen project will be realised, as an introduction to the implementation of GRN's greater green hydrogen strategy.

Marco Raffinetti, CEO of Hyphen Hydrogen Energy, added, "We are delighted to have concluded the FIA and look forward to delivering on the next phase of development of this ground-breaking project”.

The approval of the FIA underlines the beginning of Namibia’s transformative path toward a flourishing and sustainable future, placing Namibia as a worldwide centre for clean energy innovation and will boost to build a greener future for generations to come.
