Maharashtra state electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has declared to progress with e-charging stations alongside highways passing through Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
With an ever-rising number of electric vehicles in the city, the Maharashtra state electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has a plan to progress more e-charging stations along all the highways passing through Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
The name has been given to the state nodal agency 'Mahavitran' for facilitating electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities, taking upon the responsibility of providing the increasing use of e-vehicles.
Mahavitran is mainly for establishing advanced charging stations and smoothly running the process for charging station power connections.
MSEDCL has set up a dedicated web portal and a mobile app as well for EV customers.
Also, plans are in the pipeline to install additional charging stations in the vicinity of the twin cities.
Moreover, the inadequacy of infrastructure is questionable to match the rising number of EVs in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
As of now, there are 15 operational charging stations under the jurisdiction of MSEDCL Pune Circle.
The MSEDCL has established its charging stations and created an app named ‘Power App’ for electric vehicle consumers. For the convenience of the consumers, app can locate the nearest charging station, self-charge their vehicles, and make payments.
