MSEDCL Bags Six National Awards for Rooftop Solar Power Production

The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has bagged with six national awards for its exceptional rooftop solar power generation.

These awards were presented at the Renewable Energy Festival organized by the All India Renewable Energy Association in Goa.

MSEDCL, represented by director Prasad Reshme, bagged the awards in the presence of Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister of State for Renewable Energy Bhagwant Khuba.

MSEDCL’s Managing Director, Lokesh Chandra highlighted that the Union Government’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy had set a goal of producing 100 MW of power capacity through the installation of rooftop solar by January 2024.

Moreover, MSEDCL has already surged this goal by installing 82 MW capacity for residential consumers by the end of July. This remarkable achievement has benefited a total of 18,068 residential customers.

Through their efforts, they have tapped the power of solar energy and facilitated sustainable solutions to fulfil the electricity needs of residential consumers.
