MNRE Grants Provisional ALMM to Credence Solar, Insolation Green Energy and Mundra Solar Energy

Waaree Energies and Vikram Solar are under Co-ALMM due to their co-branding agreements with Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). According to the updated list released on its website, three companies, namely, Credence Solar, Insolation Green Energy and Mundra Solar Energy have been granted provisional ALMM.
 
Credence Solar, Insolation Green Energy and Mundra Solar Energy are enlisted for 120 MW per year, 167 MW per year and 2036 MW per year. However, the companies are aiming for more capacities. While Credence Solar and Insolation Green Energy have applied for 120 MW per year and 175 MW per year, Mundra Solar Energy has applied for 2000 MW annually.
 
Meanwhile, Waaree Energies has been enlisted for the highest capacity with 2650 MW per year followed by Vikram Solar (1287 MW) and Premier Energies (1116 MW).

Additionally, Waaree Energies and Vikram Solar are under Co-ALMM due to their co-branding agreements with Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd.  Waaree Energies and Vikram Solar have inked pacts with Tata Power Solar Systems for 600 MW and 580 MW respectively.
 
Introduced in March, this year, the revision in the ALMM for co-branding denotes an arrangement between an OEM and a brand owner that share manufacturing facilities.
