The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has provided essential clarifications on Component C (FLS) of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme.

The key clarification affirms the relaxation of the provision requiring indigenous solar cells (DCR) under Component C (FLS) until March 31, 2024, providing flexibility for stakeholders involved in the implementation of this component.

Additionally, the Ministry addressed inquiries from various states regarding the eligible Central Financial Assistance (CFA) under Component C (FLS). The existing CFA structure remains unchanged, standing at INR 1.05 Cr/MW for General States and INR 1.75 Cr/MW for NER/Hilly Region and Islands. This CFA framework will remain valid until any further updates are announced by the MNRE.

State Implementing Agencies (SIAs) have been urged to expedite the implementation of the PM-KUSUM Scheme in their respective regions and provide timely progress reports.

The Ministry's clarifications aim to ensure a smooth and informed execution of the scheme, contributing to the broader goals of sustainable and renewable energy in the agricultural sector.
