Malaysian RE Company reNIKOLA Holdings to Procure USD 438.4 Million for Solar Projects in Southeast Asia

Malaysian renewable energy company reNIKOLA Holdings is proposing to procure up to USD 438.4 million for the subsequent three years to fund its pipeline of projects, comprising solar developments in Southeast Asia.

The company’s target is to augment its renewable projects to 1 GWp for the subsequent three years. Presently, reNIKOLA has 178 MWp plants in operation.

Besides solar, reNIKOLA is also interested in other forms of renewable energy like biogas and green hydrogen.

South and Southeast Asia nations are experiencing rapid growth in the adoption of renewable power because of power cuts caused by weak power grids and the increasing use of air conditioning.

According to the International Energy Agency, investment in clean energy is anticipated to surge spending on fossil fuels this year.
