Gentari is a clean energy solutions entity, entirely owned by Malaysian oil and gas pioneer PETRONAS, assigned to independently serve and deliver integrated sustainable energy products and services.

Clean energy enterprise Gentari Renewables Australia, a subordinate of Malaysia’s state-owned oil company Petronas, has acquired its purchase of Wirsol Energy and its assets from Germany-based renewable energy group Wircon.

Wirsol, which come into the Australian market in 2017, possesses and functions renewable energy and storage projects across New South Wales (NSW), Victoria and Queensland. Its profile enlisting 422 MW of functional solar and storage and almost twice that in progression.

Gentari’s purchase profile, known to have been rated at under $1 billion (USD 705 million), scores the company’s reach into the Australian renewable energy market.

Its blueprint is about plans to prosper its solar potential and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capability, and to state itself as a green hydrogen producer.

Wirsol’s Australian assets enlisted the 90 MW Clermont Solar Farm in Queensland and the 110 MW Wemen Solar Farm in north-western Victoria.

The company’s course of development contains the 445 MW Maryvale Solar and Energy Storage project being developed in western NSW, and has obtained the land rights to evolve the 75-85 MW Barnawartha Solar Farm in Victoria.
