Magenta Mobility Launches ‘Project 302’ to Decarbonize Logistics at Bhiwandi
Under this project, Magenta has inaugurated a new office and charging depot in Bhiwandi, deploying electric vehicles (EVs) using the hub-and-spoke model.

This strategic move underscores Magenta Mobility's vision to decarbonize logistics while expanding its services to existing and new customers across the e-commerce, FMCG, FCMD, and logistics sectors in the region. With an initial fleet of 500 EVs at this facility, comprising both three-wheelers and four-wheelers, the company is poised to meet the surging demand for sustainable transportation solutions.
To support this, the company aims to hire around 200 local Delivery Executives (DEs) to operate the vehicles. Additionally, a charging hub will be set-up to facilitate the electrification of the fleet, transforming the office space into an EV hub and creating significant employment opportunities. Hiring will span across logistics operations, charging operations, and field operations to support Magenta’s growing business.
Bhiwandi, with 25 million square feet of space, caters to the growing demands of the e-commerce and third-party logistics industries. Robust infrastructure developments like Metro Line 5, connectivity to major cities and ports, and proactive government support make Bhiwandi a prime location for warehousing and logistics solutions. Situated on the outskirts of Mumbai, Bhiwandi hosts warehouses for e-commerce giants, pharma companies, FMCGs, retailers, and conglomerates, making it an ideal operational hub for Magenta Mobility to extend its services in the region.
Maxson Lewis, Founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating: “This expansion is a significant milestone for us. Bhiwandi's connectivity to the Mumbai-Nashik Expressway and the Western Express Highway is a major advantage. Our presence in this key location will enable us to better serve our customers, providing top-notch mid and last-mile delivery solutions.”
The new office will exemplify best sustainability practices, such as using natural light to reduce electricity (HVAC) consumption, going paperless to minimize environmental impact, and discouraging the use of single-use plastic by providing reusable cups and recycled paper bags. The company has also partnered with an e-waste management company to reduce and recycle e-waste from its offices and business operations.
