MAGE SOLAR, part of the global MAGE GROUP has opened a logistics center in Dagenham, near London. This new logistics center means that installation partners in Great Britain can now receive deliveries of their photovoltaic system components from MAGE SOLAR much quicker.
The warehouse and logistics center is a further step toward improving customer proximity in the British market. MAGE SOLAR has had a sales team in the United Kingdom since the start of the year 2011 and has been consistently expanding its network of installation partners.
"For us, customer proximity is the key to our success. Our MAGE POWERPARTNER program and the personalized advice and support provided by our local sales managers have enabled us to establish close relations with local installation partners," says Dr. Markus Feil, CEO of MAGE SOLAR AG. "And our new logistics center is a further logical step towards more quickly satisfying the demands of our customers." MAGE SOLAR is delighted to have Kuehne + Nagel on board as an experienced partner. Kuehne + Nagel is one of the world's leading logistics service providers and has many years' experience in the storage and transportation of highly sensitive photovoltaic components.
Despite the current discussion about the feed-in tariffs, the British market is expected to remain attractive, in particular with regard to small and medium-sized rooftop installations in the private customer segment. Great Britain aims to generate at least 30 percent of its energy demand from renewable energy sources by 2020. Energy-efficient homes with photovoltaic installations will play a key role in achieving this aim.
