L&T Energy Awards 213 MW Solar PV Module Supply Contract to Saatvik Solar for Bihar BESS Project

Out of the total capacity, 185 MW will be allocated to a solar PV grid-connected power plant, while 45.4 MW will enhance a four-hour battery storage system in the Kajra district.

L&T Energy has recently awarded a 213 MW solar PV module supply contract to Saatvik Solar. This collaboration will support L&T Energy's 245 MW Bihar Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, reinforcing the company's dedication to providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions. 

The Bihar BESS project aims to combine solar power with cutting-edge battery storage, showcasing a proactive approach to energy security and efficiency. Out of the total capacity, 185 MW will be allocated to a solar PV grid-connected power plant, while 45.4 MW will enhance a four-hour battery storage system in the Kajra district. Saatvik Solar will provide its Mono PERC Bifacial Modules, featuring 545 Wp glass-to-back sheet technology, which ensures excellent performance and reliability for this extensive solar initiative. The modules are expected to be delivered by March 2025. 

This partnership with Saatvik Solar is in line with L&T Energy’s goal of utilizing top-quality domestic solar technology to meet the increasing demand for clean energy in the country. L&T Energy is focused on using high-efficiency solar modules that adhere to strict project standards, guaranteeing both operational excellence and long-term sustainability.
