LONGi and OCADE Join Forces for Solar Panel Recycling in Colombia

As part of this initiative, LONGi will provide OCADE with the necessary information and training to optimize the recycling processes of solar module components, empowering OCADE to expand its current services for the environmentally sound management of decommissioned solar panels.

LONGi has signed a collaboration agreement for knowledge transfer in the recycling of photovoltaic modules in Colombia with OCADE S.A.S., a Colombian company specialized in the comprehensive management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

This agreement aims to establish long-term cooperation between the two companies to develop activities related to the management and recycling of solar modules in the country.

As part of this initiative, LONGi will provide OCADE with the necessary information and training to optimize the recycling processes of solar module components, empowering OCADE to expand its current services for the environmentally sound management of decommissioned solar panels.

With the rapid growth of photovoltaic installations in Colombia and the region, proper management of photovoltaic waste has become a key requirement to reduce energy waste and mitigate environmental impact. This agreement strengthens both companies’ commitment to the circular economy and sustainability, promoting responsible solutions for the solar energy sector in the country.
