Li Auto Set to Launch Mass Production of MEGA EV with Fast Charging Technology

Chinese automaker Li Auto has announced plans to commence mass production and delivery of its first pure electric car, the MEGA multi-purpose vehicle, starting in February. 

Pioneering an 800-volt charging architecture and CATL's latest Qilin batteries, the MEGA aims to alleviate range anxiety with a 500 km driving range achievable in just a 12-minute charge.

The water drop-shaped front design and streamlined aesthetics contribute to low air resistance, enhancing energy efficiency and extending the electric vehicle's driving range. Li Auto, founded in 2015, is offering pre-orders for the MEGA in China, with an estimated price below 600,000 yuan (USD 82,826.02).

As a noteworthy advancement, the MEGA MPV will be the first model produced at Li Auto's Beijing plant, designed to have an annual capacity of 100,000 units. 

The company, known for its extended-range hybrid SUVs, reported a net income of 2.82 billion yuan (USD 389.15 million) in the third quarter, with revenue totaling 34.68 billion yuan.
