Lakshadweep Invites Bids for 2107 kW Rooftop Solar Projects with Battery Storage

Lakshadweep Electricity Department has issued a tender for the supply, installation, and commissioning of 2107 kW hybrid rooftop solar power plants with battery storage across government buildings in Lakshadweep. Bid submission ends on April 10, 2025.

Lakshadweep Electricity Department has floated a tender for supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 2107 kW hybrid rooftop solar power plants with 3 kWh battery energy storage system for each kW system at various government buildings in Lakshadweep.

The projects must be completed in 6 months. Bidders must offer comprehensive operation and maintenance for 5 years.

Bidders need to furnish INR 46.19 lakh as an earnest money deposit (EMD).

Bid submission will start on March 21, 2025 and will end on April 10, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on April 11, 2025.

Solar modules to be used in the projects must be from the ones listed in MNRE’s ALMM list.

The bidder must have designed/engineered, supplied, erected/supervised erection, and commissioned/supervised commissioning of solar photovoltaic (SPV)-based grid power plant(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 2 MW during the last five financial years in India, out of which at least one solar photovoltaic plant should have been of 300 kWp or higher capacity.

This reference plant must be at a single location developed by the bidder for itself or any other client and must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the last date of submission of the application for enlistment.

Alternatively, the bidder must have executed in the last 10 years an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining (including coal handling plants) and/or any other process industry, of a value of INR 10 crore or more in a single project or single work, respectively. The same should be in successful operation for at least one year prior to the techno-commercial bid opening date.

The average annual financial turnover on solar project works or similar works must be at least INR 10.85 crore put to tender during the immediate last three consecutive financial years. The bidder must not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last five financial years.

They must also possess a certificate from a commercial bank amounting to INR 14.5 crore or a net worth certificate of a minimum of INR 36.2 crore issued by a certified chartered accountant.
