KP Group Signs MoU with MP Government for 1.8 GW RE Projects

KP Group has signed an MoU with the Madhya Pradesh government to develop 1.8 GW of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hybrid, BESS, and biomass. The agreement, formalised at Global Summit 2025, aims to boost the state’s clean energy capacity.

KP Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New and Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to develop 1.8 GW of renewable energy projects.

The projects will include solar, wind, hybrid, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and biomass-based initiatives across the state. The agreement was formalised at the Global Summit 2025, held in Bhopal on February 24, 2025. This collaboration aims to enhance Madhya Pradesh’s clean energy capacity and contribute to India’s national renewable energy targets.

In its filing, the firm said, "This partnership underscores our commitment to sustainable energy solutions and aligns with national and state-level renewable energy goals."

Additionally, KPI Green Energy Ltd., another key entity under KP Group, announced that its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Pvt. Ltd., has recently secured a 62.20 MW solar project order under the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment. This new order increases KPI Green Energy's total CPP capacity to 152.34 MW, further strengthening its position in the renewable energy sector.
