KP Energy Signs PPA with GUVNL for 30 MW Wind Power

Surat-based wind energy developer KP Energy has signed a PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. for 30 MW wind power at a tariff of INR 2.43 per unit.

Surat-based wind energy developer KP Energy has recently announced that it has inked a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL).

As part of the PPA, the company will develop the 30MW wind power project under its IPP segment and sell the energy to GUVNL.

“K.P. Energy Ltd. has received the order from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) approving the Power Purchase Agreement signed between the Company and Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL). This order marks a significant milestone for the Company, as the execution of this project will expand the Company’s existing IPP capacity to approximately 50 MW,” informed the company in a regulatory filing.

It further added that the project is scheduled to be completed in Q4 FY 2025. The company shall develop the wind power project and sell the energy to GUVNL at the approved tariff of INR 2.43 per unit for the operational life of the project.
