KP Energy Receives Orders for 1003.7 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid and Solar Projects

KP Energy has received 1003.7 MW of wind-solar hybrid and solar projects from its group company KPI Green Energy. The projects were won by KPI Green Energy from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) under various tenders.

Gujarat-based K.P. Energy Ltd. has recently announced that the company has received new orders aggregating to 1003.7MW capacity for the development of renewable energy projects from KPI Green Energy Ltd.

The company will be responsible for providing a range of services, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) for the project. This inter-alia entails activities such as designing, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning and securing the necessary approvals and permits for the Project.

Phase-I involves 86.8 MW of hybrid power including 70 MW of solar and 16.8 MW of wind power. Phase-II involves 641.9 MW of hybrid power including 518 MW of solar and 123.9 MW of wind power. In phase-III, the company will develop 275 MW of solar power projects.

“KPI Green Energy Ltd. is a group company of K.P. Energy Ltd. and Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Promotor and Managing Director of K.P. Energy Ltd. is also Promotor and Chairman and Managing Director of KPI Green Energy Ltd. The transaction is done at arm’s length basis and in the ordinary course of business,” informed the company in a regulatory filing.

It further stated that these projects are won by KPI Green Energy under the various tenders of the Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) and are expected to be completed in line with the timelines under definitive agreements.
