Kirloskar Solar and Oriana Power Win Major RE Contracts from NVVN

Kirloskar Solar and Oriana Power have secured significant contracts from NVVN, totalling ~66 MW for ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects across India. Both companies will also maintain the installations for three years, using ALMM-approved modules.

Kirloskar Solar Technologies and Oriana Power Ltd. have won significant renewable energy contracts from NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) for projects across India. Together, they secured a combined total of  ~ 66 MW to be developed in multiple states.

Kirloskar Solar has been awarded a INR 2.08 billion contract to develop 32.29 MW of ground-mounted and 14.74 MW of rooftop solar installations across multiple states, including Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Assam.

These projects, must be completed within tight timelines of eight months for ground-mounted systems and six months for rooftop systems. The tender  for the project was floarted in June 2024. The contract also includes a three-year operation and maintenance requirement.

Meanwhile, TrueRE - Oriana Power Ltd. won a INR 835.69 million contract to develop 10.61 MW of ground-mounted and 8.65 MW of rooftop solar systems in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, under similar terms, including a three-year maintenance period.

Both companies are required to use modules listed in the ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers), ensuring compliance with government standards.

It may be mentioned that Oriana Power recently secored a INR 5.2 billion contract from Dalmia Cement for a 128 MW ground-mounted solar project in Tamil Nadu.
