Kedar Upadhye is New Group CFO of ReNew Power

ReNew Power introduced Kedar Upadhye as its new Group Chief Financial Officer(CFO). The renewable energy company also announced the appointments of Vikash Jain as Global General Counsel and Vikram Kapur as Chief Growth Officer.

Kedar Upadhye has more than 22 years of broad and international experience. He was President and Global CFO of Cipla before joining ReNew.

ReNew Power introduced Kedar Upadhye as its new Group Chief Financial Officer(CFO). The renewable energy company also announced the appointments of Vikash Jain as Global General Counsel and Vikram Kapur as Chief Growth Officer.

The appointments come as ReNew's gross total portfolio increased by over 20% to 12.1 GW at the end of April, up from 10.2 GW at the start of 2022.

Vikash Jain has more than 26 years of worldwide compliance, governance, and litigation experience. He was Group General Counsel for Vedanta Resources Ltd, according to the statement.

Vikram Kapur, who has over two decades of expertise, will lead the newly created job of Chief Growth Officer, which will focus on developing new companies such as green hydrogen and carbon markets, as well as worldwide alliances to support the core and emerging industries. He worked at McKinsey & Company for 17 years before joining ReNew.

All three leaders will report to ReNew's Chairman and CEO, Sumant Sinha.

Sinha said, "I am delighted to welcome Kedar, Vikash, and Vikram, whose recognized professional caliber, global expertise, and strategic insights will significantly add to our leadership capabilities as we capitalize on the strong growth opportunity across the clean energy spectrum to help India meet its climate goals."

ReNew had a total portfolio of 12.1 GW of renewable energy projects in India as of May 9, 2022, comprising commissioned and committed projects.
