Kazam has joined hands with QuickCharge, a Charging Point Operator (CPO) in Malaysia, to enhance the country's EV charging infrastructure.

This collaboration aims to implement Kazam's Charging Management Solution (CMS) and improve the management and scalability of QuickCharge's EV charging network. Since adopting Kazam's solutions, QuickCharge has deployed over 100 chargers across residential, hotel, and office spaces, meeting the growing demand for efficient EV infrastructure.

Over the past six months, QuickCharge has seen significant improvements with Kazam’s charging management solutions, which include an app and dashboard access to manage each charger. The energy demand routed for EV charging more than doubled between July and December 2024, with app users surpassing 50,000.

“We chose Kazam as our technology partner because of their proven track record in delivering scalable, user-friendly, and intelligent EV charging solutions. The insights provided by their analytics, combined with high service standards, have allowed us to deliver a more seamless experience to our customers while meeting the growing demand for EV infrastructure,” said a QuickCharge spokesperson.

QuickCharge is also trialing Kazam’s Dynamic Tariff feature, allowing flexible pricing based on various vehicle parameters such as time of day, state of charge (SOC), and other conditions. “Our Dynamic Tariff feature represents the next frontier in EV charging,” said Akshay Shekhar, CEO & Co-Founder of Kazam.

“By adapting to real-time conditions, it not only maximises revenue but also ensures a seamless and user-friendly experience for EV owners. We are excited to see QuickCharge adopting this innovation to enhance its network across Malaysia,” added Shekhar.

Malaysia's electric vehicle sector is undergoing rapid expansion, fuelled by strong government incentives, infrastructure development, and a rising shift toward sustainable transportation. In response, QuickCharge plans to launch 2,000 new EV chargers across Malaysia in partnership with Kazam with an aim to bolster the nation’s charging infrastructure and support its growing community of EV users.

As Malaysia transitions to electric mobility, the QuickCharge-Kazam partnership aims to build a connected and efficient charging ecosystem. This collaboration intends to support greater EV adoption by expanding the charging infrastructure to meet increasing demand, aligning with the country's sustainable transportation goals.
