JREDA Issues Tender for Maintenance and Operation of RTS Power Plants in Various Districts

The project aims to select agencies for a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract and operation (CMCO) of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants.

The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has issued a tender for the maintenance and operation of rooftop solar power plants in various districts of Jharkhand. This five-year contract, referred to as NIB No: 06/JREDA/GCRT/CMCO/24-25, includes the replacement of PCUs, batteries, and other essential components as needed.

The project aims to select agencies for a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract and operation (CMCO) of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants. This includes replacing PCUs and batteries as needed across multiple districts in Jharkhand. The tender outlines the maintenance requirements for solar power systems of different capacities, ensuring they operate efficiently and last longer. It covers systems from 1 kWp to those over 100 kWp.

The bidding documents will remain available for download till July 3, 2024. Online submission of bids began on June 22, 2024, and will remain open until July 3, 2024. The technical bids will be opened on July 5, 2024. For general bidders, the cost of the bid document is INR 11,800 (including GST), and the earnest money deposit required is INR 6,00,000. For MSEs of Jharkhand, both the cost of the bid document and the earnest money deposit are waived.

To qualify, bidders must have experience in maintaining and operating solar power plants, demonstrated by completing similar work for any SNA, Government Organization, or PSU in the last seven years. General bidders need to have completed either three similar works of a maximum capacity one level below the applied category or one work of the applied category capacity. MSEs of Jharkhand need to have completed either two similar works of a maximum capacity one level below or one work of the applied category capacity.

Additionally, general bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30 percent of the estimated project cost over the last three years, with a positive net worth. MSEs of Jharkhand must have an average annual turnover of at least 10 percent of the estimated project cost, also with a positive net worth.
