JinkoSolar to Deliver 1 GW Solar PV Modules for NEOM Project
JinkoSolar has been awarded a contract by L&T to supply 1 GW of Tiger Neo ‘N-Type TOPCon modules for NEOM’s Green Hydrogen Project.

JinkoSolar has signed a major contract with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to supply 1 GW of solar photovoltaic panels for the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia.
The renewables arm of Larsen & Toubro has signed an agreement with a leading developer in the Middle East to develop a 2 GW solar PV plant. In December 2022, the company signed an EPC contract worth USD 2.779 billion to work on NEOM’s green hydrogen project.
As part of the project, L&T has contracted JinkoSolar to supply 1 GW of Tiger Neo ‘N-Type TOPCon modules for the world’s largest green hydrogen project in December 2022.
T Madhava Das, Whole-time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Utilities), L&T, said, “The successive order wins stand testimony to our proven engineering and project management capabilities to meet the requirements in terms of plant performance, workforce mobilisation, safety, quality and timeline. We cherish this level of customer trust.”
Commenting on the mega orders, S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director, L&T, said, “The Middle East is far ahead in creating sustainable energy infrastructure and in providing a smart lifestyle. These orders are welcome additions to our green portfolio, as we build the company of the future with next-generation technologies.”
The project is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives that aim to transform the Kingdom into a global pioneer of clean energy. As part of the project, L&T has contracted JinkoSolar to supply 1 GW of Tiger Neo ‘N-Type TOPCon modules for the world’s largest green hydrogen project in December 2022.
NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is an equal joint venture between ACWA Power, Air Products and NEOM. NGHC is building a mega green hydrogen plant to produce green ammonia at scale for global export with a total investment of USD 8.4 billion.
