JinkoSolar, a Chinese solar module manufacturer, has announced a substantial supply agreement to deliver approximately 3 GW of its advanced tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) solar modules to Saudi Arabia.

This contract is part of a strategic collaboration with Acwa Power and encompasses two significant sub-projects within the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF4) initiative.

The first project, the '1.2 GW Haden Solar Photovoltaic Power Station' will utilise JinkoSolar's n-type Tiger Neo series 78 solar modules. This project is being executed by the China Energy Engineering Group Consortium, highlighting the growing international collaboration in the renewable energy sector.

The second major endeavor, the '1.8 GW Al-Khushaybi Power Station', will feature JinkoSolar's latest n-type Tiger Neo series 66 solar modules. This project is contracted by the Indian multinational company L&T, further emphasising the global partnership in advancing solar energy infrastructure.

JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo modules are engineered to perform exceptionally well under the challenging environmental conditions typical of Saudi Arabia, including high irradiation, elevated temperatures, and frequent sandstorms. A statement from the company highlighted the modules’ impressive low degradation rates, low temperature coefficients, and overall high reliability, ensuring optimal performance even in demanding climates.

This agreement follows a series of framework cooperation agreements signed earlier this year between JinkoSolar and Acwa Power, aimed at fostering collaboration on solar projects worldwide. This partnership signifies both companies' commitment to advancing solar energy deployment in the region and beyond, reinforcing their positions as leaders in the renewable energy market.

As the demand for renewable energy continues to grow in Saudi Arabia, driven by national initiatives to diversify energy sources and reduce carbon emissions, JinkoSolar's contributions will play a critical role in meeting the country's ambitious energy goals.
