JinkoSolar Joins the United Nations Global Compact Initiative

Leading solar module manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Under the UN Global Compact, signatories are encouraged to align their operations and strategies with key principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

Commenting on the development, Kangping Chen, CEO of Jinkosolar, said “we are proud to be a signature company of UNGC. At Jinkosolar, we have a culture of equality, transparency, accountability.”

“We seek to align our business operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption,” Kangping Chen added.

The company said that, throughout our operations, we treat everyone in our business with dignity and respect, protect employees’ rights, respecting everyone’s willingness and interest. Across our global manufacturing sites, we are committed to ensuring that every workplace provides a safe and respectful environment for every employee, it added.

We do that through labor union, HR training on labor and employee rights, regular and independent audits, and open communication platform where every staff can express himself, and an anonymous reporting system in which we investigate every complaint, the company further said.

JinkoSolar added, in our effort to protect the environment, we are the first solar company who joined RE 100 committing a 100 percent run on renewables. And we’ve put our innovation and expertise into the task of conserving water, electricity, raw materials, and recycling and recover precious materials. We share our road map to inspire our partners, industry peers to join us on our environmental journey.

As a publicly listed company in NYSE, Jinkosolar is legally required to make and keep accurate records that truthfully and accurately reflect all the transactions of the corporation and maintain an adequate system of internal accounting controls.
