Jay Precision, an Indian manufacturer of medical devices and automation systems, has enhanced the profitability of its manufacturing facility by leveraging cutting-edge Growatt inverters in its 800 kW rooftop solar system.
By utilizing 10 Growatt MAX 80KTL3 LV inverters, the company has ensured flawless operations for the past four years, demonstrating the critical role of high-performance inverters in commercial solar projects.
Opting for inverters with higher standalone power ratings and greater adaptability is pivotal for maximizing energy production. The Growatt MAX series offers a power range from 50-150 kW for commercial and industrial scenarios, and up to 253 kW for utility-scale projects. These inverters are tailored to meet specific system needs, minimizing downtime and maximizing energy output.
Jay Precision has also increased its system’s capacity ratio by leveraging the over-sizing and overload capabilities of the Growatt MAX series inverters. With a DC/AC ratio of up to 2, these inverters are compatible with high-power modules, ensuring higher energy yields and increased profits.
Employing inverters with a multi-MPPT design has helped reduce mismatch losses in Jay Precision’s solar arrays. The Growatt MAX series features up to 10 MPPTs with 2 strings per MPP tracker, allowing each tracker to achieve optimal performance. This design supports a maximum string current of 16 A and an MPPT current of up to 32 A, making it ideal for high-power PV modules.
Switching from traditional copper cables to aluminum alloy cables has significantly reduced the overall cabling costs for Jay Precision. Growatt inverters support 300mm diameter aluminum cables, offering substantial savings on AC cable costs.
Intelligent O&M solutions are another key factor in reducing costs and improving system efficiency. Growatt’s smart monitoring and diagnostic tools, including string monitoring, smart I/V scanning, and online services, have enabled Jay Precision to detect and address issues, reducing downtime and operational costs. The inverters’ IP66 protection degree, C5 anti-corrosion, AFCI protection, and Type II SPD on both DC and AC sides ensure durability and adaptability to various applications.
The Growatt MAX series 80 kW and 125 kW inverters have received the 'All Quality Matters' Award for PV Inverters in commercial use, highlighting their exceptional quality and functionality. “If you seek to slash factory energy use, promote green energy, or boost solar power plant revenue, investing in these high-efficiency inverters is a wise choice,” said Lisa Zhang, Vice President of Growatt.
Jay Precision’s successful implementation of Growatt inverters highlights the importance of selecting advanced inverter technology to optimize solar project performance and profitability in the competitive solar energy landscape.
