In relation to the information that has been published during last few days, ISOFOTON wishes to reaffirm its support for employment in Malaga factory, highlighting the following points:
It basically wishes to reaffirm its support for employment by highlighting the fact that it maintains an average of 80% of its production capacity in Malaga factory, which will continue to act as the company’s global headquarters. Clear evidence of this is the 50 million euro investment made by Samsung, jointly with the regional government of Andalusia, for employment and technology in Malaga factory.
ISOFOTON confirms that it maintains its business plan, based on R&D investment, business internationalisation supported by relevant international partners such as Samsung, Posco Plan Engeneering or Sumitomo and the establishment of production factories where final clients are found. Within its business plan, the company is maintaining its activities within the expected parameters and currently has a worldwide project portfolio of 1,500 MW. Some projects have been recently announced, including a JV to develop 300 MW of photovoltaic projects in Saudi Arabia and the announcement of the agreement to develop 50 MW in Dominical Republic, as well as opening of a new factory in LatAm region within a year and the opening of a factory based in Ohio (US) with an initial capacity of 50MW, to be extended to 100MW, and an order portfolio of 300MW, to be supplied with technology and product (photovoltaic cells) developed from Malaga which, as previously remarked, will continue to be company headquarters.
Finally, ISOFOTON confirms its respect for workers’ freedom and rights, although it cannot agree with the reasons declared by CSI-F trade union.
