The All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIMPA) has appointed solar consulting and services firm REECODE Energy Solutions to set up an exclusive Solar Pavilion at one of the largest plastics B2B event Plastivision India 2013 to be held at Mumbai, from December 12 to 16, 2013.
The purpose of building a solar pavilion is to introduce the over 100,000 B2B visitors and other stake holders in the plastics industry to a first hand view of solar applications that can be adopted by the plastic industry.
Among the solutions that are expected to be exhibited include pumps, compressors and moulding machines that can be operated using solar energy solutions.
Raju D. Desai, chairman of the Plastivision India 2013 organising committee, said that it was critical for the benefit of the industry to not only become aware of solar solutions, but also adopt these to improve their competitive advantage in the marketplace. “In the able partnership with REECODE Energy Solutions, we wish to take the Indian plastics industry one step forward towards energy security,” he said.
According to REECODE Energy Solutions’ CEO Bhupesh Trivedi, this is an excellent opportunity for solar solution developers and equipment manufacturers to get exposed to a very large B2B market that is in need of solar applications. He was sure that the relationship between REECODE Energy Solutions and the association will help both the industries – plastics and solar - to come together and work for mutual benefit.
Ashok Mukherjee, Chairman of Solar Energy Pavilion, said that an exclusive area will be earmarked at the venue. “We want to work proactively with the solar industry, to ensure that we together deal with the issues of non-availability as well as rising cost of power,” he said.
