CISH’s subsidiary Industrial Solar has signed an agreement with WAFER Energy and Technology, and Dabussia General Contractors to work together to bring solar technologies and services to the country’s growing industrial sector.
The partnership will strengthen Industrial Solar’s access to new markets and sectors as renewable technologies are gaining more traction globally, even in oil-rich countries such as Libya.
With a handful of private enterprises across various industries, such as agriculture and steel, the Libyan market is still dominated by its oil industry.
As the country is building itself back together after more than 10 years of conflict, both public and private sectors are realizing the strength and potential of renewables in helping the rebuilding efforts, especially since Libya has some of the highest DNI (Direct Normal Irradiation) values in the world.
With an area spanning 1,759,540 km2 and a coastline of 1,770 km putting a massive burden on transportation and logistical costs, the need for renewable and sustainable solutions is therefore not circumstantial but necessary.
The requirement for thermal technologies is just as overlooked, which presents itself as an ideal opportunity for Industrial Solar, considering the vast requirement of thermal processes such as process heat in industries, and space cooling.
The partnership between Industrial Solar, Dabussia General Contracting Company and WAFER Energy & Technology works for the benefit of all members as the roles and responsibilities are mutual and complementary.
