Indus Towers Ltd., a Haryana-based firm providing telecom infrastructure solutions, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with JSW Green Energy Eight Ltd., a newly incorporated special purpose vehicle (SPV) focused on renewable energy, to procure 130 MW of solar power under captive mode.

As part of this agreement, Indus Towers will invest approximately INR 38.03 crore by subscribing to equity shares of the SPV. This investment will give the company a 26 percent stake in JSW Green Energy Eight Limited, enabling it to secure a steady supply of renewable energy.

The SPV, established on October 18, 2024, is dedicated to building, owning, and operating renewable energy projects. The solar PV plant is expected to commence operations by March 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

This initiative reflects Indus Towers' broader strategy to integrate sustainable practices into its operations, demonstrating its commitment to environmental stewardship and energy efficiency.

The partnership is a significant step toward reducing the company’s carbon footprint while contributing to India’s renewable energy transition.

Indus Towers reaffirmed its focus on sustainability by adopting innovative solutions to procure and utilise clean energy, thereby reinforcing its position in the telecommunications infrastructure industry.
