Indus Towers Launches 'Digital Transformation Van' in Partnership with NIIT Foundation

This initiative aims to revolutionize access to digital resources for both rural and urban slum areas in Ranchi. Hon’ble Secretary Department of Information Technology & e-Governance, Jharkhand Vipra Bhal, inaugurated the Digital Transformation Van at Kerali Public School, Neori Vikas, Ranchi .

Indus Towers, has launched their Digital Transformation Van (DTV) in partnership with NIIT Foundation in Ranchi, Jharkhand. This initiative aims to revolutionize access to digital resources for both rural and urban slum areas in Ranchi. 

Hon’ble Secretary Department of Information Technology & e-Governance, Jharkhand Vipra Bhal , inaugurated the Digital Transformation Van at Kerali Public School, Neori Vikas, Ranchi .  Within a year DTV will cover 12 different villages of Ranchi and will cater to children above the age of 12, youth, adults and elderly population. The event was also graced/ attended.
 
Part of the company’s flagship CSR program ‘Saksham’, the DTV is a 21-seater, solar powered vehicle with internet, latest computers, printers, software and e-learning tools and has live-monitoring features to provide free of cost doorstep digital education with certification in basic IT education, cyber security, Internet of Things, and financial literacy.

The same vehicle is also used for tailored community awareness sessions and mass literacy. All sessions are conducted by the trainers of NIIT Foundation, providing any additional assistance the community requests.
 
Enhancing the digital skills of the people in Ranchi, this initiative is aligned with the Government of India’s digital literacy mission. The project includes exclusive batches for women, senior citizens, and offers government teachers, police officials, street vendors, children, and institutions working towards environmental conservation and systematic waste management with a supportive environment for their empowerment and skill development. Aligned with Indus Towers' mission - Transforming lives through Sustainable Digital Infrastructure and Services, this DTV imparts valuable, in-demand skills, including digital literacy, basic IT education, and cyber security, to students of all ages and backgrounds.
 
During the launch, Hon’ble Secretary Department of Information Technology & e-governance, Jharkhand, Vipra Bhal said, “I extend my best wishes to Indus Towers and NIIT Foundation for their Digital Transformation Van initiative. It is heartwarming to see Indus Towers taking the step towards digitally enabling the people of Ranchi. This program works to bridge the digital gap by providing people with essential digital skills required today.
