As G20 presidency, India has huge potential to collectively address the pressing challenges of climate change and cultivate global partnerships to accelerate the development and implementation of clean energy technologies.

In its endeavour to support India’s net zero goal and clean energy transition, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) is all set to introduce the 6th edition of India Energy Storage Week (IESW).

IESW 2023 will be a global event with participation from more than 25 countries including the UK, the USA, the UAE, Australia, China, Germany, Singapore, France, Italy and Sri Lanka, laden with networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, world-class gatherings, and fascinating insights into the future of energy storage and clean energy transformation.

With a line-up of over 500 national and international organisation, over 60 CXOs from the e-mobility and green hydrogen ecosystem, 100 start-ups, 50 women energy leaders, 8 ministries, IESW 2023 is going to be the biggest stage for e-mobility and clean energy. The 5-day conference and exhibition is scheduled from May 1 to 5 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Commenting on the event, Dr. Rahul Walawalkar, Founder and President, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), said, "The world's transition to sustainable energy is imperative for our planet's survival, and India is at the forefront of this change. If India wants to achieve its net zero goal by 2070, energy storage technologies will have to play a crucial role. Over the past years, there have been notable advancements in manufacturing policies in India, with nearly 30 companies in the process of establishing manufacturing facilities for various components related to energy storage. The India Energy Storage Week 2023 presents an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to come together and explore the latest technologies and best practices in the energy storage, e-mobility, and green hydrogen space."

Debi Prasad Dash, Executive Director, India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) added that the event will bring meaningful outcomes through deliberations and discussions among industry participants, innovators and policymakers to create energy storage, electric mobility and green hydrogen roadmaps for India.

IESW 2023 will feature 30 thematic conference sessions, 6 technical forums and workshops, 5 roundtables, reverse buyer-seller forum, 3 technical and cultural tours, over 150 partners and exhibitors, 1000 delegates, and 10,000 visitors.

Commenting on the event, Ashok Thakur, Director of Strategic Initiatives, Customised Energy Solutions (CES) added that IESW 2033 is a unique opportunity to advance India's position as a global hub for energy storage and to support the country's ambitious clean energy transmission goals.

Since 2017, IESA is hosting IESA Industry Excellence Awards at IESW to recognise the perseverance, innovation and achievements of organisations involved in the energy storage landscape in India.
