IIT-G Inks Pact with Tata Elxsi to Develop Innovative Electric Mobility Solutions
The agreement was signed between IIT-G Officiating Director Prof. Parameswar K. Iyer and Tata Elxsi CEO and MD Manoj Raghavan.

While IITs are globally recognised as premier institutions for engineering education and research, Tata Elxsi is one of the leading tech-service providers for the automotive and transportation industries.
According to a company statement, the tie-up will leverage the expertise of researchers and experts in material science, digital twins, and deep artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to advance research in the field.
The agreement was signed between IIT-G Officiating Director Prof. Parameswar K. Iyer and Tata Elxsi CEO and MD Manoj Raghavan in the presence of other prominent persons of IIT, Guwahati and Tata Elxsi.
Talking about the collaboration, Prof. Parameswar K. Iyer said that the shared knowledge between IIT Guwahati researchers and the Tata Elxsi team would help in building a research ecosystem in this sector, and its commitment to strengthen the partnership would help in making the country ‘Aatmanirbhar’.
“This collaboration will bring together the best minds to envisage and develop future-looking solutions for electric mobility. The fault analysis solution is an example of how industry-academia collaboration can bring together original thinking and application of the latest digital technologies to solve specific industry needs from operators, OEMs, and system suppliers in the transportation industry,” added Manoj Raghavan.
