IIT Bhilai Invites Bids for 475 kWp Rooftop Solar PV Projects under RESCO Model
IIT Bhilai has issued a tender for 475 kWp rooftop solar PV projects across its buildings under the RESCO model. Bid submission ends on January 13, 2025.

IIT Bhilai has floated a tender for setting up 475 kWp rooftop solar PV projects in its various buildings under RESCO model.
The scope of work includes site survey, design, engineering, and SITC of the rooftop solar plants including operation and maintenance of the system for a period of 25 years.
Bidders need to pay INR 1,000 as a tender document fee. They need to furnish INR 5.22 lakh as an earnest money deposit (EMD). They also need provide performance guarantee of INR 13.06 lakh.
The last date for the submission of bids is January 13, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on January 15, 2025.
Bidders must possess minimum 5 years of experience in design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV project.
The tender document specifies that bidders must have completed and successfully operated at least for 24 Months after commissioning a solar PV plant in RESCO model at the designed efficiency. The capacities for each such plant should be 80 percent of 500 kWp for one completed work, 60 percent of 500 kWp for two completed works and 40 percent of 500 kWp for three completed works.
Similar works here refer to design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV project completed by the bidder in the last 7 years ending previous day of last date of submission of bid. “Ongoing, abandoned, incomplete works shall not be counted,” it clarified.
As for financial eligibility, the bidder should have average annual financial turnover (gross) of at least INR 78.37 lakh in solar PV works during the last 3 consecutive years.
